Egli è pur troppo a rimirarsi
chi con la vista ancide i circunstanti
sol per mostrarsi andar diporto attorno.
Egli è pur troppo a chi fa notte il giorno,
scurando il sol co’ vaghi e be’ sembianti,
aprirgli spesso, e chi con risi e canti
ammuta altri non essere meno adorno.
Das ist zuviel, will einer sich erkühnen,
Mit seinem Blick zu töten, wen er sieth.
Das ist zuviel, wenn er mit Zaubermienen,
Die Sonn’ verdunkelnd, die am Himmel zieth,
Den Tag in Nacht verwandelt.
Nicht weniger schön ist, wer der Welt mit
Lied und Lachen, das sie schweigen heiβt,
erschienen.
